I read The little prince as a child. Then I wanted to share it with my kids and I read it to them as they were young. I remember having tears in my eyes while reading to them with my adult understanding this text that they loved for its poetry.

It is a book I often buy as a gift, including during the « Donnez à lire » (Give a Book) campaigns in bookstores. To me, it is an essential book—one to be reread so we can discover new facets and messages.

Even though this quote is very well-known, it is still worth pausing to reflect on it. In spiritual circles today, there is frequent talk of opening the heart—or the heart chakra—as the seat of emotions and unconditional love, and as the bridge between the upper and lower chakras. People also speak of the invisible realm and of connecting to something greater; use whatever terms align with your own belief system—these are simply the ones I am sharing here. Please note that I am not talking about personal development, becoming a « better version of yourself, » or setting goals; those terms do not resonate with me, as they often carry an element of performance or pressure. For me, it is about rediscovering oneself as a human being—in every dimension: physical, emotional, and spiritual.

I chose this quote for the first piece of calligraphy I created for the *Scriptorium Poétique* website. My aim was to share this message with the world and to inspire reflection, a moment of pause, and a chance to reconnect with oneself whenever the piece is viewed.
